Abstract

Objectives: In this study, based on research on patient satisfaction of existing dental care services, to create a hierarchical structure to gradually less critical lower level of problem from the top level (target), relative of each element in the hierarchy using pair wise comparison matrix, AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method to determine the importance. Methods/Statistical Analysis: This study used modified questionnaires in Kim’s study to complement for purpose of the present study. It was selected as 4 major factors; Convenience of using procedures, facility and the environment, image of medical staff, image of employee owing to be adapted to study. Then, it was selected to the 16 types in subscales. Findings: ‘Reliability of doctor’, ‘Sanitary condition’, ‘Newest dental equipment’, ‘Communication skill’. So that, Male’s most importance factor of select dental hospital is ‘Reliability of doctor’ which means the doctor can give faith to listen well the patient’s story or doctor’s well-known experience or educational status. And then it places a great importance on ‘Specialty of treatment’, ‘Sanitary condition’. In female group, it showed that ‘Accessibility’, ‘Appropriacy of treatment bill’, ‘Communication skill’, ‘Specialty of treatment’, ‘Reliability of doctor’ are distinct from male group, In female group rates ‘Accessibility’ factor high, in sequence Appropriacy of treatment bill’. On the other hand, they rates ‘Decent appearance of staff’ and ‘Interior’, ‘Parking facilities’ factors relatively low. Improvements/Applications: It was possible to know that ‘Reliability of doctor’ on part of ‘Image of medical staff’, ‘Specialty of treatment’, ‘Communication skill’, ‘Accessibility’ were important factors to improve the competitiveness of dental hospital and it is considered to be ongoing effort to be able to provide an environment that can improve the patient satisfaction enhancing management improvement and competitiveness of hospitals, improve the quality of care in gradually intensified competition on medical market.

Abstract

Objectives: Outcome-based education systems are executed by setting an education goal, and function as an education quality management system that analyzes such education results and consistently improves the process of achieving education goals. Methods/Statistical Analysis: The core competency of the competency-based education process of clinical dental hygiene is that graduates can perform dental hygiene management as a dental hygienist for patients/ recipients, and in order to evaluate this competency, major detailed competencies were composed into 13 questions and investigated. Evaluation points were granted from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 10, and the evaluations took place before and after class in the form of a self-administered questionnaire. We used a level of significance of p<0.05. Findings: In the major of Dental Hygiene, we meant to operate a competency -based education process, and later evaluate the effect of the education. The self-evaluation points of every detailed competency showed an increase, showing statistical significance except in a few elements. Competency-based education processes are being judged as efficient studying methods where the academic achievement competencies can be developed. Improvements/Applications: This research has its meaning when we provided it. But there has been no comparison group so far, so we must think about the limit of this part.

Abstract

Objectives: Subjective oral health status is dependent on whether proper education and practice of the education. This study aims to investigate the effect of high school student entering adulthood on the subjective oral health. Methods/ Statistical Analysis: It was investigated by distributing a questionnaire to high school student living in Seoul and Gyeonggi province to research the effect of high school students’ oral health behavior on the subjective oral health. The data was collected from November 15, 2011 to November 28, 2011. The data was analyzed using SPSS software Version 20.0(SPSS20.0 or Windows, SPSS Ins, USA) P-value for the test is less than 0.05, 0.01, and 0.001. Findings: The result of this study shows that gum bleeding presents negative correlation with instruction on tooth brushing (r=-.173) and practice of brushing (r=-.466) suggesting that a group which did not receive instruction and practiced the brushing presents more gum bleeding(p<0.05). Oral health activities which have influence on subjective oral health include the instruction on tooth brushing (B=0.263, t=2.621, p<0.05) and practice of brushing (B=-0.757, t=-6.788, p<0.001) and they presented statistically significant difference and explanatory power of 28.7%. In regards to number of brushing per day, twice a day (48.8%) was presented to be the highest in this study which is different from studies by3 which suggest that three times a day were the highest Improvements: The development of program was required for continuing to proper tooth brushing instruction, and it is considered the ideal oral health preventive behavior to make oral health instruction that could change the perception and attitudes of trainees by causing a practical motive.

Abstract

Objectives: To study the human resources management and labor-management control of hospital personnel by verifying the influence factor of individual and group on satisfaction and by deducing an implication for the human resources management. Methods Analysis: The investigation was performed on personnel of the two university hospitals located at Seoul and in Gyeonggi-do province from March of 2015 until June. The questionnaire was provided for self-completion for the survey study and the data was collected until June of 2016 by sending e-mails. The total number of collected questionnaires was 200 and the investigation was performed on total 160 questionnaires. Findings: First, to verify the general characteristics of the targets, the descriptive statistics as frequency and percentage were applied. Second, to verify the validity, reliability and correlation between individual and group career management and the career satisfaction, there were applied factorial analysis and the analysis based on Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Third, multiple regression analysis was applied to examine the effect of individual and group career management according to age and employment history on the career satisfaction. Applications: It can be understood that career management is a prerequisite for career satisfaction, and especially that the group career management has larger effects on career satisfaction than the individual management.

Abstract

Objectives: The research was performed to verify the positive and negative factors of medical institutes and provide proper alternatives, by analyzing the cognition on industrialization of health care. Statistical Analysis: The public perspective as medical beneficiary and the perspective of medical institutes as medical supplier were examined through frequency and percentage methods. The general characteristics on agreement-disagreement of establishment of for-profit hospitals were examined and calculated on the basis of Chi-squared test and Fisher’s Accuracy Test, and they were examined through factorial analysis on 24 questions. This study counted 100 samples may be considered that this condition is well satisfied. Findings: This research was performed on 100 personnel serving in health and medicine area in general hospital, their opinions on the permission of for-profit hospital under the circumstances of opening of medical market due to medical industrialization and on their proposals on the issue. First, both male and female respondents answered with higher rate of disagreement and especially the occupational cluster of assessor of National Health Service, medical technician, hospital management and administration personnel showed relatively higher opinion of disagreement. Second, the opinion of agreement on for-profit hospital in the public perspective as medical beneficiary was shown higher in ‘Accessibility of social group with vulnerable/insufficient use of medical services’ and the opinion of disagreement was shown higher in ‘Rich-poor gap in use of medical services’. Third, the opinion of agreement on for-profit hospital in the perspective of medical institutes as medical supplier was higher in the item of ‘Possibility of bankruptcy due to management aggravation of domestic small and medium hospitals’, and the opinion of disagreement. Improvements: Research had the limitation to perform a survey on foreign hospitals which are the further competitors in case of opening medical market; further supplementary researches are considered to be necessary.
